Picture yourself in the middle of the French Quarter wearing a colorful sequined mask and elegant evening attire. The upbeat sounds of New Orleans carnival music are all around you. Everyone is offering you beaded necklaces in all shapes and colors. People everywhere are celebrating the fun, colorful, and exciting event that is Mardi Gras!! There is a part of you that wants to break out and celebrate! On entering you are immersed into the streets of New Orleans. Park benches, lush foliage, architectural details, a large functioning fountain, and a street sign welcoming you to "Bourbon Street" replicate actual New Orleans scenes. Beautiful lights sparkle everywhere in the rich greens, golds, and purples that are the colors of Mardi Gras. Full size jester mannequins, Mardi Gras clowns, stilt walkers and animals complete the vibrant display and welcome you to the Mardi Gras Masquerade. Every so often you come across an event that stops you in your tracks and all you can say is WOW! Every day is the right day for Mardi Gras!!
